In Khabarovsk, the community has already had a long tradition of cleaning up the Jewish cemeteries. Twice a year the volunteers attend the Jewish sector at the Central City Cemetery. Thanks to this promotion the teenagers can learn more about the history of Jews in the far East and they have a desire to spend more time with their friends and family.
In 2015 within the framework of this project, we visited the cemetery in town Birobidjan. Abandoned graves dated to the 19th and 20-th centuries, are full of Jewish names, surnames and symbols that evokes pride of our people. After all, until we remember-we live.
