About

Volunteering is one of the main directions in our organization. The Khabarovsk city community was created by our grandparents, and this emphasizes its importance for today's youth and inculcates respect for older generations. For that reason, there is a volunteer center at the community, which operates on a full-time basis and manages many projects of assistance to older people.

Despite the large number of Jewish organizations in the city, volunteers are independent and participate in all projects. Over the past year, the number of volunteers was more than 30 people who were always ready to participate in any social project.

My life in the community began with the Sunday camp. With each new lesson I admired by the madrihs and I wanted to be like they are. With the time, I grew up and became a part of our community. Now I like to participate in different projects. Especially, I like the bake Halas for the grandparents of our community.

I am 18. Volunteer work I’ve been doing for 2 years. We have done many different projects during this time, for children, teenagers and for old people. And the most pleasant emotions you have when you work in the children’s camp. That’s when you realize what a burden of responsibility is. After the work in the camp, we meet the children during the whole year, and we organize for them and together with them different volunteer promotions. When you are a student at the Institute – there is a great lack of time, sometimes you do not manage to do everything, but, nevertheless, you feel very satisfied. The satisfaction from that you are doing the right thing that helps those in need.
